here's a terrible cell phone photo of the first coat of the new oyster white paint. it's really no representation of what the color really looks like (it almost looks purple here? weird.) besides the fact that it's lots lighter than the last one (see "before" photo below). the second coat will go on saturday morning, and i will take photos that afternoon with the real camera.

now, i am contemplating whether a vintage sheet exists that would mix with this rug if i made it into a cradle sheet. there are tones of gold in the rug so maybe a yellow floral? i know this is very hard for you to picture, but i think it could be fabulously eclectic once the rest of the room is in place.
