Aiming for progress, not perfection.

"...being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you
will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

today...

...ellie made soup. it's only contents? salt. she had an array of sippy cups and bottles that were all her different colored salts.
"it needs more yellow salt, mommy. now it needs more pink salt. i'm a sweet girl maker like you. i make food like you, mama. wanna taste?"

...i was thoroughly convinced that i don't care about the fact that gray should have given up this bottle 2 months ago. look.at.him. perfection. shaggy hair and all. today he said, "hurt" and pointed at the floor when he fell and hit his face. and he sang, "oh, where...hairbrush. oh, where...hairbrush."

I didn't make Lorelai give up her bottle until she was two. They're still babies, gotta cut them a break every now and again :)

Ummmm, Joshua still uses a bottle. I was just thinking in the shower this morning that I need to throw them all out and let him pick a sippy cup from walmart. So far, he hates all sippy cups. Even when Dora is on them.

It's hard to wean your baby from baby things. Boo. =(
