Aiming for progress, not perfection.

"...being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you
will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

what she said.

if you look at the comments on my last post, delana posted these verses.
ezra 8:21 - then i proclaimed a fast there at the river of Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, to seek from Him the right way for us and our little ones and all our possessions.

psalm 37:23 - the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way.

psalm 48:14 - for this is God, our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even to death.

proverbs 3:6 - in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths

proverbs 16:9 - a man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.
is it possible to feel scared and at peace at the same time?

dad always says "i ain't a-scirt of nothin!" but in reality he is even scared at times. we would be somewhat scared to travel somewhere we had never been before, but peace comes with us because we know on who's hand we hold.

I believe "peace" is the key...

as a christian, i have found that, not only is it possible, but normal to feel scared and at peace at the same time. there is still a little bit of scared, and that is what causes you to trust in Jesus. the peace is what helps you make the leap and get to the other side safely and wonderfully, no matter the landing.

you're still in my prayers and just remember, "rest in the knowledge that the maker of heaven and earth cradles your future in his hands."

God sure blessed me with a wonderful sister. i love you.
