just shy of two weeks late, the mother's day tea.

colorful. before heading to the tea.

my table. love LOVE the mix-n-match china.
(we were hotting the pots so they're missing.)

totally adore this tiered dish. want to steal it. thanks to nanny for bringing it.

earl grey tea with cream and two lumps of sugar = scrumptious.
super cute vintage tablecloth = also scrumptious.

cupcakes generously donated by cakes in a cup. italian creme, chocolate ganache, red velvet and wedding cake. my favorite, by far, is wedding cake. a tower of magnificent icing. mmm.

more table.
several of the dishes were my great-grandmother's. so, so special.
a few others are antique store finds. most are thrift store finds.
who can turn down a flowery china teacup for 29 cents? not i.

fabulous spray roses via heb.

pretty corsage on jo.

honey and jam (not pictured) provided by delana. love the glasses.

wonder woman.

speaking to the ladies.

table guests.

more table guests.

one of my two teapots. a great deal from the antique mall a few days before the party.

ellie was at a little girl table. they had, among other things, nutella sandwiches and ice cream sundaes. a retro dollhouse adorned the center of the table. tres cute.

little girl table hostess and babysitter extraordinaire, eowyn.

cutie face.

colleen reading to the little girls.

more cutie face.

bossing other girls during the story.

cutie face to the third power.

singing "i'm a little teapot" for an adoring crowd.

janet's woman-at-the-well skit.

christal was our speaker and sang a song.

cup o' tea.

a most wonderful time.
