is there ever a moment, even when your child has history's worst case of "the mommies," that it is OK to hold her while you're using the toilet? and i do mean, USING the toilet.
apparently, the answer to that question is yes.

done both of those at different times I always wondered we my mom ran to the bathroom for hours while we set in the hall now I know peace and quiet!!! not that it happens but it was worth a try
One of my little granddaughters would not let me out of her sight - if I went to the bathroom, she was my little lap-lander! Precious memories!!!!!

been there done that. wait until you are already in there and the door is closed a little hand comes crawling through......just to let you know they are "waiting" for you on the other side :0)
been there and done that. now the girls don't sit in my lap as they are older, but THEY STILL COME IN.
Bekah will even tell me, Gee mom it stinks in here. AAAAAAAAAA DUH! I tell her just leave, and she sayes, "No that's o.k."
