today is my fantastic husband's 27th birthday. i had his presents wrapped and sitting out last night (impressive, no?), and he was already wanting to open them last night. i made him wait until this morning, but he opened them at 7:45 a.m. before he left to work out. silly boy. the pictures basically tell the story as far as which of his presents he liked the most. the one where he's trying to figure out what in the world his daddy diaper bag actually is happens to be my favorite. funny story: last year, i meant to give landon a dirk jersey, but i wasn't nearly as organized as i am now all of a sudden. i didn't get the thing in time to give him on his birthday, so i gave him a picture of one printed off the computer with the promise that we'd go pick one out. um, yeah. considering the fact that i bought him one this year, you can probably guess whether he ever got one last year. he's happy now though! so something fun and something practical. oh, and ellie and doc got their dad a super cute card, a nutty bar and some chapstick. they knew he needed some.
landon -- you are the greatest gift i've ever received. you are loving, caring, selfless, thoughtful, dependable, strong and most of all, a wonderful example of jesus' love. i don't know how it worked out, but i'm getting the great gift of you on
your birthday and every day. i love you more than life.
