tonight i may be a mama.

i have been wanting a dog for awhile, but it hasn't really been a pressing need until a few days ago. natalie definitely put me over the edge with her new baby charley (she's the little brown baby), and i haven't been able to stop thinking about bringing one home. well for the last couple of days i've been looking at dogs online and both landon and i really like this schnauzer/poodle mix called a schnoodle - isn't that hilarious? the picture is the little fluffy one with big eyes. but...that apparently is a sought after mix and to buy one from a breeder is $750. too much when there are babies that need adopting from the shelter or else they'll be put to sleep. i didn't find any schnoodles at any local shelters, but i did find petey... he's the precious one with brown ears and light eyes. he's at the plano animal shelter and i FINALLY convinced landon to go meet him. we're going tonight! and i have a funny feeling we'll be bringing him home. isn't he the cutest thing you've seen in your life? the shelter says he's a pitt bull/terrier mix, but there's no way to know for sure. he's five months old and we think he may already be crate trained and maybe potty trained as well. we have a nature preserve right behind our house and i know petey will love to go on long walks with me and landon in the woods. i'll let you know tomorrow if we brought him home!
