oh, my bleeding heart...
i got to the shelter at 4:40 p.m. and went searching through the cages to find petey. i found his cage empty, with the door open. i figured he was out for his exercise or something and i went to the front to ask where he was.
he'd been adopted just a few hours earlier.
i cried. a lot. i didn't even know the dog! i'd never seen him except in a tiny picture on the internet.
but somehow...it was a loss.
landon had to comfort me, secretly laughing at my unexplainable sadness.
then he promised we'd get one.
we're thinking a boston terrier named clyde.

oh i'm so sorry!!! but you'll find a puppy... petey just wasnt meant to be a Henry. Some other lucky little dog is though, keep looking!
