i bought a big box of legos at a garage sale a couple months back for $1. they sat in the garage for the longest until i saw them today while preparing for this weekend's garage sale. i decided i should finally wash them and let the kids play. i did. they love them. they fought over them all day. i'm not sure why as there are approximately 10,000 legos. plenty to share. but i digress. ellie was quiet for awhile, playing with the legos, when she came to me with this:
"look at my dinosaur, mommy!"am i wrong to be mind-blowingly impressed by this?! as far as i know, she's never even seen legos before today! look at the rounded pieces for the feet! and the neck that is to one side of the rectangle blocks! and then topped by more rectangle blocks going the opposite way for the head! the little exposed lego thingies at the bottom of the head even look like teeth coming out of the mouth! i mean, COME ON!
i.am.so.proud.what am i gonna do when she gets her first soccer trophy? i don't care that everyone on the team got one or that they were 0-12. SHE GOT A TROPHY. clearly, she's a genius.
