ellie's big girl room: it's finished!

while ellie was in dallas enjoying a foot of snow with aunt mush and uncle mattie, i finished her big girl room. just in time for her 3rd birthday; she woke up in her big girl bed on the big day. she's been sleeping there like no big deal ever since. if anyone is interested in sources i'd be happy to post some. i'd love for you to leave comments with your thoughts.

I absolutely love what you've done with her room. It's fabulous and a LOT easier to clean up at the end of the day. I don't know why. Haha. One question: why is Ellie's Bitty Baby always naked? Doesn't it have clothes? Ha.

Looks good! The bed and the chest are super cute and I love the quilt and rug! So here's a question: does E not have a million toys yet or do you have them all neatly stored in the closet? I have quite the love-hate relationship with all the toys in our house and with small closets and our girls sharing a room, toys can't be hidden away very well. Also, does G really leave the easel and chalks and crayons alone? Our walls would be sooooo covered in doodles!

Love the room, great job! Would you mind sharing the source of the adorable framed art of the little girl drawing the heart "this much"?

Love the room! I saw you featured on Oohdeedoh while browsing for inspiration
for my daughter ELLIE's room. My daughter is 2 1/2 and her room already looks similar to yours and it seems to fit my Ellie's personality. Is your daughter's name short for Elizabeth also?

@kathleen -- the print you're referring to is by sarah jane studios. find her at www.sarahjanestudios.etsy.com

@leisa -- wow! how cool! YES, my ellie is short for elizabeth, which is my middle name, my mom's middle name and my grandmother's middle name. i thought i was the only one who shortened elizabeth to ellie. it's usually short for ellen or elenor.

I'm just seeing this now even though the post is ancient and want to say wow, the room is lovely! Seeing my house blocks shot so beautifully makes me so happy that I'm making things again. Truly, it means the world to me that you included them. :)
