cardinal couple.
just a second ago, the most beautiful cardinal couple flew under my covered patio to get out of the rain. they were seriously gorgeous! wow. would it be silly to believe God sent them to bless me? i've been having a rough morning with ellie, and landon is out of town until tomorrow sometime.
creation has a way of putting life back into perspective, doesn't it?
*note: sorry for any confusion. this isn't my cardinal couple. yeah right. i can't take pictures like this. who do you think i am? jenny? but this is almost exactly what they looked like. so pretty!*

Is that the actual couple? wow. I'm blessed
They are a beautiful couple. We have a bright red cardinal that flies aroound our back yard, but I have never seen it's mate. That would definatley bring a smile to my face.
You picked a great bird to feature on your blog Sarah! Northern Cardinals are one of the few bird species that mate for life. They typically have one nest that fledges an average of 4 nestlings every spring. The male comes into full spring breeding plummage right about now to attract his mate -- even if they have been together for many years. He also helps to tend the nest and feed/raise the young. They have a beautiful song and call and are favorites of all birders as they are easily identified and are not very wary of humans. Put out some safflower seed - you see scads of them and other species. West Texas is great for birding!
well, it would have been a breath of heaven for me.
I believe in God's simple blessings...He showed me a sparrow, once, when I didn't feel like He saw me. But he does see us and He blesses daily. Praise Him for the simple blessings.
Northern Cardinals - and all other examples of beauty and miracles in nature are daily reminders of God's blessings. As Louis Pasteur wrote (and I paraphrase), "the more I understand science, the closer I feel to God." It is so true.
