Aiming for progress, not perfection.

"...being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you
will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

29 years young.

the birthday card i made for landon says this on the outside: "you are the man of my dreams." on the inside it says, "even when i'm awake."

it's true.

i can confidently say that i have grown into a woman of God in the six-and-a-half years since my life became intertwined with landon's. a lot of that has to do with his never letting me get away with mediocre. well, unless you count my housekeeping. he challenges and encourages me at the same time. God has used him mightily in my life, and i could not be more thankful. he is also an incredible father to my children. watching him with them sends my heart soaring.

landon: very often i have these moments where my mind zooms out from the middle of the chaos, and i think, "we're doing it. we're living life. side-by-side. and i'm having an incredible time." you make hard things softer and soft things even better. i am so excited to watch our paths unfold. i am so proud of you and proud to be your wife. i am madly in love with you. you are my best friend. happy birthday. sarah.
