quick! everyone come over! hurry! while it lasts!
the living room, entry and breakfast room are clean. it took five hours. i think we could have built another apartment complex with the dust. i still need to vacuum and mop, but the improvement with dusting, sweeping and straightening alone is nothing i could explain in words. i am purposefully not taking "before" pictures because you'd likely report me to cps for raising a child in such conditions. it's just beautiful now though. i'm really wondering how messy i can let a 860-square-foot apartment get. heaven help us when we get a house. maybe some "after" pictures after i rest these weary knees. you know you've worked hard when your knees and heels hurt. either that, or i'm old and out of shape. your guess is as good as mine. all i know is i'll be sleeping well tonight.
on tomorrow's agenda: ellie's room.
wish me luck.

Good for you! Might I suggest having "Power Hour" with Landon? This is what Aaron and I do when our house is in shambles. We turn off the TV, put on some upbeat music and dedicate a whole hour (yes, we use a timer) to picking up crap. It works!! You can do it once a week and it makes the house soooo much nicer. We make a game out of it. Stupid, but it works.
You have to get Landon to help, though, or else Power Hour become Power three, five, eight hours if you're doing it alone.
Just a suggestion ;o)
Or you could just pretend your apartment is on the market and you never know when a realtor might call. There's something about someone else possibly seeing your dirty underwear on the floor that makes you want to clean! =)
i second that, la. that is the God's-honest truth. geez.
