tonight's victories: dinner and flowers.

i asked landon what he wanted for meals this week, and this is what he requested for sunday-night dinner. pork chops and mashed potatoes. i splurged on REALLY good chops from costco. man, they have good meat there. i got 12 in the pack for $13 though so i guess that's not bad. i was really proud of this meal 'cause it was so good -- i wish i could explain the look on landon's face when i presented him with his plate -- and really quite easy. i must admit, however, that the mashed potatoes were frozen, not homemade. but so yum nevertheless. (oh, and raspberries and powdered sugar for dessert!)

i think the lemon wedge puts it over the top, don't you?

e liked my mashed potatoes too. (i sorta feel like she needs a haircut.)

she stood up the whole time she ate the potatoes off my finger. i was giving them to her on the end of my fork, but landon was worried she'd fall forward and stab herself in the throat. he made me feed her off my finger. what a good daddy... (she got those legs from me, by the way.)

i, in my selfish quest for entertainment, put this lemon on her tongue so i could laugh at the face she made. um.. she sucked on it forever! she never made a face. silly girl.

more lemon.

lemon cubed.

when i went to the store for the potatoes, bread and diapers, i got a bunch of flowers for $5 at the kroger. i put some in these vases in the guest bathroom...

...and some in these vases in our bathroom.

here's a shot of the vases not on a white background. LOVE them. love ikea.

happy sunday night victories!

now i just have 500 loads of laundry and dishes to do...

I love hearing about your victories...you inspire me to do more. I mean I never clean, my room has been messy for the past two weeks...oh and I did laundry at Alex's last Sunday and I never put up the clothes...they are in the back of my car in bags and I just pull them out to iron them as I need them...I feel very overwhelmed with my messiness...i should try little things as you are...I think what your doing works! A new start for me tomorrow...

Your pork chops look perfect.
You also inspire me. I need to cook more.
I never have fresh cut flowers at my house - there's a reason for that - but that, my friend, is for another post...
Your flowers are just beautiful!
