Aiming for progress, not perfection.

"...being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you
will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

oh, about that looming decision.

if we take one path, the harder of the two difficult ones, we will be left with yet another decision about what to do next.

that may be confusing, but just because we pick one direction, doesn't mean we're set. there is a lot God has to help us work out.

right now, we are at a loss.

landon is talking to his dad on the phone. he just sighed and summed up our mentality, "i don't know, dude...."

A friend recently told us, "You don't need man's permission to fulfill the ministry God has asked you to accomplish."
It is extremely hard to take the first step in a direction where you can't see all the way down the road. His word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. We don't always see what's coming up ahead, but we can be assured that He goes before us to make the rough places smooth and the crooked places straight.

You know when my Dad was fired from his job after being with the company for 25+ years he gave me the greatest example of how to follow God's will... He told me that sometimes you just have to wait.

I didn't understand that until I watched his life as he struggled to find odds and ends things to do like starting his own business for a while... so that we could have money for a home. He worked so hard, but kept waiting on where God really wanted him to be. Also during this time I watched him read and pray every morning. During this struggle God continued to provide for our family thru my Dad...it amazed me at how much he blessed my Dad even thru his stuggle. He was so faithful to God as he waited. And after over a year of struggle...

God gave him a new path to follow...again I saw the struggle and fear of,"Lord do I take this path or wait?" He continued praying and made the decision with God that taking the job was the right path...

Now God is blessing him greatly in his job...he has moved up in his business 2 or 3 times since he has been there the past couple of years.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is that whatever road you decide to take...the hard road...or the easy road... just be faithful to Him like I know you guys are and God will show you where He wants you to be.

I love you guys and I will be praying for you that God show you His will for your lives. I know he has great things for your family!
