ellie and i had a great morning.
on fridays, landon goes to work in the morning and then we switch. well, he was still at the office when i left. i just dropped ellie off. but you get the point. we split fridays.
anyway, my baby was just super sweet this morning.
watching her discover the world amazing. i love to touch her legs. she has such fat legs. and then skinny little ankles. i love it. she notices doc now. she watches him with great interest. i took a video the other day -- oh, it's so great -- of her laying on her tummy watching doc play. he was running around playing with mom and landon with his toy, and every time he'd hop around ellie would absolutely die laughing. oh, you have to see it. you will get that warm, wonderful feeling that everybody with a heart gets when babies laugh.
(yes, delana, i will try, someday, to figure out how to post video on my blog.)
back to this morning. she took a good, two-hour nap. i managed to feed her on two seperate occassions before she started fussing. and she just smiled at me a lot, and laughed when i made funny faces.
she's just basically the most wonderful child on earth.
and i wanted to stay home with her. not come to work.
but here i am. at work.
boo to work when pretty baby waits at home.
**update**
another thing that added to my happy morning is that my house is super clean. (minus the bedroom. always minus the bedroom.) it smells good and i found everything i needed and i really think the baby rests better when i'm organized. a clean house makes me happy. clean house + pretty baby = very happy mommy.
