more trouble than they're worth? apparently.

when i was a little girl, i used to want to be a cashier at a grocery store. i don't know why. there's just something about scanning all those groceries and the satisfying "beep" and bagging them... weird, i know.

anyway, i was super excited when the self-checkout machines came out, and i could scan my own groceries.

except when they don't work. which is nearly all the time.

you know that commercial where the unnecessarily loud automated voice gets suck and repeats "wart remover, wart remover, wart remover" over and over again?

or you know when you buy a toothbrush or a packet of taco seasoning and when you drop it in the bag, the machine can't tell? it starts screaming, "item not bagged, item not bagged" like you're trying to steal something. and you want to say, "it's in there! here! i'll show you! shut the hell up!" but you don't. because then you would look crazy. for yelling at a machine.

well here's the guy who officially lost it.

we've all felt your pain, buddy. we've all felt your pain.
